how do you make so much money?? Like what general field even pays close to that much other than drugs or maybe real estate. I earn about that amount, I work in finance. Keep in mind that the government takes over half of it in taxes. The cost of living in Vancouver is high, and if you're a younger guy saving or investing a significant portion of what's left, there's not much remaining to spend on this kind of thing. Guys making that amount in Vancouver certainly aren't balling.

I really don't want to derail this thread too much, but any advice on how to get into that field? Money is so insanely tight these days and I just can't figure out how people are making this work. I have a tech background/experience but all jobs I've had have been under 6 figs which just doesn't cut it here anymore.
