I’m a lawyer, and no they can’t win defamation over bad reviews. For one sex work in Canada is a great area and it’s not decriminalized so if an SP where to try to go after someone for any kind of criminal charges. It would be very difficult, and defamation is very difficult to charge someone with. You would have to prove malicious, intent, and often loss of revenue with your business and major character assassination.
I do think some reviews can be too harsh and some in distaste when they are negative, but they would not warrant a defamation case. If there was a review on a review board that was bad enough to possibly warrant a defamation case, it would more likely be against the owners of the website/review board. This is why owners of review boards need to be careful sometimes what is allowed on their board and how they run it.

The platform is not to blame, it's the moderators. With the 'Are We Dating The Same Guy' groups on Facebook, it's the moderators getting sued, not Facebook. Moderation problems are difficult to solve. We will try some more experiments here on Menz and test ways we can improve and make it more fair.

Mrtea you never seem to be able to post a post without the quotes messed up or it doubled up. Most lawyers have great attention to detail so why do you have so much trouble with posting?
