Disabled negative user ratings

Now when you click the rate button it can only be positive.

Otherwise it becomes too much tit-for-tat game with negative ratings. We already have hate button.

Agree or disagree?

Personally disagree.
Sometimes someone says something dumb, and you want to point it out without disrupting the thread or adding unnecessary clutter by commenting on how dumb their remark was in the thread.

I can envision a future where it might need to be eliminated if it becomes overly abused, but for now, I haven’t really noticed much tit-for-tat or significant misuse.

There has been a few users who sign who sign up only to leave bad ratings. I deleted those ratings, but didn't ban those users.

I was under the impression that everyone didn't like it. Or it seems like people only use it for negative, not really much for positive.

But users like or hate a lot. So we can add up likes and hates and rate users based on that instead, I thought maybe it would be more fair that way.

I believe we should reinstate this, at least for users who are trustworthy. It seemed to help keep bad faith actors in check to some extent.
