Experiences on magic mushrooms or mdma ?
#1
Had a chat with a lovely SP who mentioned enjoying shrooms. I've only had lower doses on my own and weary of psychedelic doses. Similar to my experiences with mdma, it blew my mind with intense waves but I wouldn't do it alone, preferably with a trusted friend or partner. I was at FVDED in Surrey years ago and it was eye opening to see so many teenagers rolling out of their minds, sweating and clearly high. I volunteered at the water stations to keep everyone hydrated.

Terence Mckenna is ranked #1 of my all time favorite philosophers. Above Nietzsche, above them all. 5 grams in total darkness.

A guy at the pub pulled out a bag of shrooms and offered me and others at the table. I declined since a noisy venue didn't feel like the place and the one hour wait period to feel effects is quite long

Never do shrooms in that sort of environment, like a bar, you are asking for a bad trip if you do that.

McKenna viewed mushrooms as a tool—a way to tap into a consciousness beyond the physical and explore ideas like life after death. He would recommend to do a heroic dose, 5 grams, in total darkness, by yourself.

One of his theories, that I still think about, is the idea of a shared consciousness or noosphere , when it comes to psychedelics and being high. Rupert Sheldrake calls it the morphogenetic feild.

For instance, if a million people smoke cannabis at the same time, the experience might feel different than if a billion people are doing it at the same time. That a collective vibe shapes your experience, and over time, that vibe might lessen, making it less intense and less profound over time.

I used to love MDMA in my twenties and did it recreationally well over 100 times between 20 & 30 yrs of age . Had a lot of fun times on mushrooms as well .
My friends & I started w mushrooms and hot knives when we were early twenties which evolved quickly into E bombs which is where my real love affair started .
Had a lot of euphoric moments and introspective thoughts .
But honestly I’ve had just as many if not more on morning jogs , hikes , meditating , dancing completely sober at 5 am at an electronic music festival , driving on the highway , etc etc and I still remembered them the next day much more clearly . I also didn’t have a massive drug hangover . Just saying !

Has anyone ever done shrooms & gone into a sensory deprivation tank?

It’s on my bucket list. Just waiting till I feel ready…

John C. Lilly experimented with this.
