Family is very vague. Could have been parents, a spouse...etc
She did go face out for a brief period and I think she even had an onlyfans. So chances are her family would have known. While handling her affairs they likely found banking and credit card statements showing she paid perb for advertising, as well as they may have found her phone for work with messages from Johns. They likely put two and two together and were able to engage perb.
