Just a reminder that "Menz" is a forbidden word on Perb. They banned this a long time ago, a year ago, shortly after we launched. If you use Perb do not mention the word Menz in private messages.
In both XenForo (Perb) and MyBB (Menz) private messages (PMs) are stored in the database as plaintext, they are not hashed or encrypted, so it is easy for an admin to read them. Passwords on the other hand are hashed. Hashing is a one-way function, meaning you cannot “decrypt” or “read” the original password.
